are several types of broadband internet connections. The
common types for residential and small business users
are DSL and cable modems. Larger business users may use
T-1 or T-3 data connections for their broadband connections. |

I install your service on my broadband connection myself? |

we provide simple illustrated step-by-step instructions
that guide you through our simple installation. |

What
is a router and do I need one? |
|
A
router is often used to distribute internet data to several
PCs from a shared internet connection. You may have one
if you have multiple PCs or if you want to have wireless
connection to the internet from your laptop computer or
your PDA. You do not have to have a router to use Libertytele.com
VOIP service.However, our telephone adapter and our softphone
software are both compatible with common routers. Our
preferred router brand is Linksys. |

Does
the person I am calling need to have Libertytele.com VOIP
service also? |

No, you can make calls to any phone. However, if the person
you are calling has Libertytele.com VOIP service, the
call will be free. |

What
types of telephones work with your service? |

Most
traditional analog phones work well with Libertytele.com
VOIP service. Both corded and cordless telephones work
well. |

Can
I use multiple phone extensions with the phone adapter? |
|
Many
of our customers use cordless phone systems that come
with a base unit and additional handsets. The cordless
base station plugs directly into our Libertytele.com Analog
Phone Adapter. The additional handsets can be placed anywhere
that is in range of the base station. Expandable cordless
phone systems are available at most major consumer electronic
retailers. |

Can
I use my computer and talk on the phone at the same time? |

your PC. |
